The Condemnation of the Pharisees Falls on This Hierarchy

The following article is a bit different from my typical merely-informative style. But, it's serious, so do consider...

In the past year, I have heard the stories of many who have spent years or decades in the occult, and of those who have suffered when individuals in the occult, whether friends or family, have brought spiritual chaos and ruin into their lives. In addition, I have heard the testimonies of exorcists and pastors on the same topic, and their laments about the current situation which plagues both the world and the Church.

In all of these stories, of pain and sadness, of wounds and loss, there is hope and courage, the grace and power of Our Lord, and the will to engage in the spiritual war that they have encountered which is raging around us.

One truth has resounded in all of their testimonies: the soul craves the Traditional Latin Mass, the ancient and Traditional Liturgy and Worship and sacramentals, with its power to both convict us of our sins and to call us out of this world and its sinful ways, into the true and full life of a child of God.

A New Insight was Prompted

In a recent conversation with a young man, who had spent ten years in the occult as a leader in a form of German paganism, in which he served as a priest, and who recently converted to the Catholic Faith and is now attends the Traditional Latin Mass, I was able to connect several things which then, slightly, boiled my blood.

After that conversation, the words of Our Lord came to my mind:

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who would enter to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.”

In the Gospel of Matthew, (23:13-15), Our Lord condemns the scribes and Pharisees for shutting out from the kingdom, by their hypocrisy, those who desire to enter. Further, He condemns them for not only refusing to let others in, but for refusing to enter themselves! Still more, He condemns them for seeking converts who, in the end, become even more a “child of Hell” than they already were, and as are the Pharisees themselves!

These verses hit me as divine condemnations resounding from two millennia ago into the very heart of the Church today. We behold, now, a time when immorality, heresy, indifference, toleration for evil, refusal to condemn sin, welcoming of evil, refusal to call to repentance, and participation in occult rituals has become a commonplace characteristic of too many of the members of the hierarchy, from the top to the bottom! If you are unaware of this, sadly the evidence is in super-abundance!

Added to this is the aggressive effort to destroy the traditional worship of the Church by those who, at the same time, applaud, embrace, and participate in every sort of abuse, inversion, and destruction of the modern-crafted and deficient liturgy that they themselves seek to permit as the sole form of Catholic worship.

The condemnation of Our Lord, applied in the Gospel to the scribes and Pharisees, seems to apply now to the current reigning hierarchy.

For, by the hierarchy’s connivings to destroy the Church’s sacred worship, it refuses to permit us to encounter Our Lord in the “Mass of the Ages,” to hear His full and firm condemnation of sin and His powerful enactment of our liberation from its fetters, His gratuitous mercy and love and our reception of His strength and superabundant blessings, in which our eyes are rested from their gaze upon the passing realm of decay and deceit and are permitted to feast upon a glimpse of the heavenly delights.

These clergy themselves, in either their malice, or their cowardice before a diabolical master, are now shutting out not only the Faithful Remnant but those who, from this reigning world of darkness, are actively being called into the Light of grace.

In my research for my forthcoming book (please subscribe to hear the announcement of its publication), I have heard the same resounding statement from exorcists and from those who have already fled the occult for the embrace of the Church: the Church’s traditional liturgy is that which the soul genuinely craves. The soul learns to resist both the modern counterfeit and the devil’s parody (the occult) and, when given the moment of grace by Our Lord, will seize upon Sacred Tradition and find both its liberation and fulfillment.

Those who flee the occult by finding the Church see that it is only the traditional worship of the Church, in the Traditional Latin Mass and the traditional sacramental blessings, that the soul truly encounters the Lord in the way He willed for us, both in the nature of the souls He gave us and the nature of His call for us to turn away from sin and cleave to Him with all our strength.

The current suppression of the Traditional Liturgy, Sacraments, and sacramentals is going to, soon, please God, meet a swift end.

If not, then there will be a Hell to pay, as Our Lord Himself forewarned, for those who play this devil’s game.

Pray for the conversion of, and for the infusion with fortitude, all the members of the hierarchy, throughout the world.
